achiiiing butttttt

In a club bonding cum nite excursion programme, a whole bunch of Blacks enthusiasts (including myself) met 2gether last nite at east coast at 8pm to get ready to set off on a long nite bike ride - not knowin wad's in store for us or where the route'll be takin us.

After waiting for the inevitable few latecomers (always happens when there is a huge bunch of ppl), we set off with great glee and excitement in our resp. grps - my grp including me, ren and wai mun - and in a blink of an eye, the pack at the front zoom off at full speed, leavin those behind tryin wit all their might to catch up (not an easy ft.) soon after every1 met up agn, we set off for the 1st pit stop - changi village in wad i can onli describe as the smoothest ride of the nite...after refillin our growling stomachs, we set off agn for siglap...and behold the toughest ride of all, wit all the up slopes almost draining the life outta me. it was amazing how i even managed to huff & puff my way up those "hills". woah.

2nd pit stop: a roadside malay/indian 24 hr kopitiam where we drank teh-bings & ate the most ex calamari i've ever eaten in my life. by den, most ppl's precious behinds are startin to feel sore (or shall i say gonna split anytime). ha.
w/o further ado, we set off for our 3rd pit stop: the esplanade. stayed for quite a short time (cos no food), took some pics den the route setters, on seeing how incredibly tired every1 looked, decided to shorten the route and hence we ended up at Mr. Beans (isit spelled dis way?) near bugis/kallang. Had our longest break there havin high class coffee and delicious food. yum. den we headed back to east coast where we had to wait until 9am to return our rented bikes (note tt it was like 5 plus in the morn den. dammit!)

barged into Mac like mad - sweaty, tired and smelly. hurhur. ate breakfast at the slowest speed ever imaginable (ren even said she was too tired to eat her food! amazin). never the type to succumb to physical tiredness, we decided to stroll to the beach to watch the sunrise. beautiful scene i tellya. =) well, the sun was soon up and the rays began to make me feel sticky and dirty. some of the girls finally couldn't take it and slumped off one by one in long awaitin for the openin of the bike shop.
reached home safe and sound. aching, tired, dirty, BUT happy, excited and wit me, i brought home my v first unforgettable nite cycling memories and experience. thank you my team mates, for makin my life so wonderfully rich and fun. =)

Special thanks:
Jane, Oli & Wing - for makin dis happen
Chong Fu - for ensuring our safety in silence
Gina - for lightening every1's mood when we were all so tired
& finally BLACKS RFC for being such a wonderful club and frens. =)))))
